According to the CPSC, about 5.7 million washable water bottles from Contigo Kids were recalled on Tuesday, saying that the transparent silicone nozzle of the water bottles can come off and pose a choking hazard for children.
The bottles have been sold at Costco, Walmart, Target and other stores across the country from April 2018 to June 2023 in the price range of $ 9-24.
Contigo it has received 149 reports of detachment of the nozzles, including 18 nozzles found in the children’s mouths.
Water bottles come in three sizes (13 oz, 14 oz, 20 oz), four colors (solid color, graphics, stainless steel and stainless steel with solid colors) and have been sold in two and three packages.
Consumers are encouraged to immediately stop using the recalled water bottles, take them away from children and contact you for inspection instructions and a free replacement cap.
